The Novelties: New Directions in Long 18th Century Fiction Studies and DH Symposium will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017, 4:00-5:00 pm in the Humanities Visualization Space, 433 LAAH (Liberal Arts and Arts & Humanities Building). The roundtable symposium briefly presents three new exciting DH projects on the long 18th century focusing on fiction, followed by a general discussion. Symposium presenters are: Dr. Marta Kvande (Texas Tech University) “Restoration Printed Fiction: A Comprehensive & Searchable Database of Fiction printed 1660-1700,” Dr. Emily Friedman (Auburn University) “Unpublished: Manuscript Fiction in the Archive 1750-1900,” and Dr. Laura Mandell (Texas A&M University) “Digitizing the Feminist Controversy in England, 1788-1810 and Text Mining the Novel.”
