Dr. Lorien Foote, Texas A&M University, and Dr. Andrew Fialka, Middle Tennessee State University present the digital humanities project, Fugitive Federals, in CoDHR’s Humanities Visualization Space (HVS), 433 LAAH, on October 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.  Reception at 2:00 p.m. in 448 LAAH.  The project visualizes the escape of 3,000 Union prisoners of war during the Civil War and includes animated maps and video.  It features an on-going collaboration among undergraduate students at TAMU, the University of Georgia, and graduate students at Middle Tennessee State University to research and write short biographies of the escaped prisoners.
