The Spring 2020 Programming for Humanists (P4H) continuing education course will be two separate 8 week courses.

Part I – Digital Editions, Start to Finish
January 17, 2020 – March 6, 2020

In this course participants will learn TEI encoding, the code used to create scholarly digital editions, and learn to transform them into web pages using pre-built XSLTs. Participants will learn HTML and CSS in order to style the look of the editions online.

Part II – Python for DH Crash Course
March 20, 2020 – May 8, 2020

This course will introduce participants to the fundamental concepts of procedural programming as presented through the lens of the Python programming language – all with an eye toward performing typical Digital Humanities tasks.
